Hello! I'm Fuller Crowley, a freelance grant consultant based in Western North Carolina.

About

As a proud member of the Global Grant Writers Collective, I work with a substantial community network (600+) of highly skilled grant writing professionals. As of 2025, we've won over $1 billion in grants for a variety of nonprofits, both in the US and around the world! Our own favorite areas of funding interest are nonprofits and businesses working on natural health education, meditation and yoga for schools, the arts, senior fitness, financial education for kids, animal welfare, and hurricane relief for Western North Carolina. But my team and I are open to other ideas!

I’m mom to a working New York City musician, an amateur race car driver, a yoga and martial arts instructor, the guardian of a restored 1972 Winnebago Brave named Orville, an aspiring karaoke star, an ordained minister, and the author of blogs and books. Check out my LinkedIn profile to see more!

Grant Writing & Research

We’re specially trained to write winning grant applications and do the hard work it takes to find funding for your organization’s exact needs. Our research process of sorting through 200+ potential grants in several powerful databases allows us to present you with your top opportunities for funding success.

Project Management

Here’s how it works: first, we’ll have a casual meeting online or in person so we can learn what your dreams and ambitions are for your nonprofit, whether you’re just starting out or you have an established 501(c)3. We can meet with your whole Board or just you to get started, but it’s important to have everyone singing from the same page going forward.

If we decide to work together and sign a contract, the next step is for us to develop a Project Planning Toolkit for your organization. This custom document outlines all the critical information about what you’re doing now, what you want to do in the future, how you’ll accomplish your goals, and which projects you’re prioritizing for funding. It answers all the questions potential funders will ask about and get us all together on the vision and logistics of the funding process.

When we have that drafted and revised to your liking, we’ll create a Power Prospectus that summarizes your mission and goals in one gorgeous document. You can post this on your website, hand it out to donors and prospective funders, post it on your social media, and generally use it as a great marketing tool.

Funding Strategies

The last deliverable in the process is the real heavyweight—the Funding Strategy. A roadmap for your organization’s grant-seeking process over the next 12-18 months, the document includes those thoroughly vetted grants I mentioned above, along with their contacts, deadlines, requirements, and other pertinent information. You can begin applying on your own in-house, or my team and I are available to write and project manage the grants for you under an amended contract. From making initial inquiries to celebrating a big win, we’ll be with you from start to finish!

Website & Other Development

Are you a new nonprofit with no Internet presence yet? Is your existing site dull, dated, and creaky? We can help with that! It’s essential to have a professional online appearance so potential funders and donors take you seriously. This is an add-on service as part of our work together.

We can also write press releases, social media posts, website copy, and business correspondence. Shy about making phone calls to potential funders and partners? We’re master networkers and can coach you on that while creating “warm call” opportunities that make all the difference. No need to be overwhelmed…with Phoenix Grant Consulting, you’ve got this!
